Maybe someone else can explain why you don't have the symbol. It is the last symbol before everything turns to boxes. I am using Word 97 and the x-bar is in the 17th box over in the top row of MS Math B. Is there a setting that will allow my computer to display these characters. Phil, Using your method, after the first 15 boxes in row 1 of Math B, my computer shows rectangular symbols in all of the remaining boxes thus, it is impossible to tell which character is actually in the box.
